Herbal contact preparation for varroa mite control in honey bees
100% organic preparation made in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Effectiveness against varroa mites in both winter and summer treatment is up to 98%.

Organovar is a herbal contact preparation for varroa mite control in honey bees. It was developed by Kladanj beekeeper Abdulah Vejzovic after decades of research and experimentation with natural ingredients.
The preparation has a dual effect on bee colonies:
It has been tested on over 10,000 hives — each hive is essentially a laboratory — of which Abdulah personally tested on his 80 to 150 hives over the last 10 years, and it proved more effective than all previous preparations.
Organovar is a contact preparation — it acts within the first 10 to 20 minutes after application. Of the total varroa, 10 to 15% is released over the following seven days.
It is based on essential oils of conifers. Abdulah's daughter owns a distillery where she produces essential oils for a line of cosmetic soaps. Abdulah utilized her technology and knowledge to develop this preparation.
Organovar contains completely natural ingredients that are also constituent parts of the bee colony. Due to the essential oils, it also acts as a disinfectant on the hive — destroying bacteria and viruses and preventing various bee diseases.
"Organovar is a preparation that has a dual effect on bee colonies."

Application instructions
Abdulah Vejzovic is one of the most experienced Bosnian beekeepers with decades of experience. He witnessed the years when varroa first appeared in the Bosnian region — at the end of the 1970s.
Initially, they defended against varroa by placing ferns in the hives. Later, commercial medicines appeared. Abdulah used dozens of medicines, almost everything available on the European market — but none killed varroa completely.
After decades of effort, with the help of technology from his daughter's essential oils distillery, Organovar was created — a preparation tested for two years on his own and friends' hives before being offered to the public.
"I used dozens of medicines, almost everything available on the European market. Unfortunately, none of those medicines kill varroa completely."
Abdulah Vejzovic emphasizes that the biggest problem is not actually the medicines themselves, but rather that beekeepers apply treatments unsynchronized. If even one apiary in an area is not treated at the same time as all others in its surroundings, varroa from it re-infests all the other apiaries. Synchronized treatment across the entire area is key to success.
Observation during treatment: on the insert beneath the mesh bottom board, you can see fallen varroa mites — this is a sign that the preparation is working.
